God is cruel: A Poem

God is cruel

One sibling wasn’t enough, so you had to take two

God is cruel.

They are throwing away their babies but you won't quicken my womb

God is cruel.

Father's coming and going, lying and trolling

God is cruel.

Born into poverty, grind and grind to overcome my obscurity, remain unseen, unheard, no opportunities

God is cruel.

You give me dreams to strive for, make me wait till I die poor

God is cruel.

I want to feel beautiful but my fatness is phobic and thickness taboo

God is cruel.

Stop. Wait. Change.

God is God. You are you.

Stay true to your path. You’re becoming, you’re growing, you’re glowing.

You are Beautiful.
